FOX Engineering Welcomes Adib Amini, Ph.D., E.I.

 

FOX Engineering Associates, Inc. of Ames, Iowa, proudly announces the addition of Dr. Adib Amini to the firm.

Dr. Amini holds a B.S. in General Engineering, Cum Laude, from James Madison University; and an M.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of South Florida where he recently defended his Ph.D. dissertation in Environmental Engineering.

With expertise in sustainability, engineering design, and technology innovation, Dr. Amini will provide design services for a variety of water and wastewater treatment projects at FOX Engineering.

Dr. Amini has conducted U.S. EPA funded research to investigate innovative, safe, and sustainable water treatment technologies for small potable water systems. He has also conducted research to develop innovative technology for recovery of energy and nutrients from wastes produced from concentrated animal feeding operations (CAFOs). He also enjoys working with community empowerment programs such as the Junior Youth Spiritual Empowerment Program.

Adib has travelled and studied globally and is the recipient of numerous awards and scholarships for his work in various facets of environmental engineering. He received the 2015 Air & Waste Management Association (A&WMA) Award for Sustainability Research and the 2015 Chi Epsilon Graduate Fellowship. He has also received awards for his work in the community, including the 2015 and 2016 Indeevar and Srinath Memorial Scholarship and the 2012 Community Service Award from the Golden Key International Honour Society.

He resides in Ames with his family and continues to enjoy spending his free time contributing to community development activities both in his local community and abroad.
